The Canadian Mentoring Partnership is teaming up with RBC to host a Power of Mentoring virtual event with youth ages 18+ on September 18 from 12:30-2:00pm EST. The 1.5 hour virtual experience will include both large group skill-building activities and two rounds of facilitated small group career mentoring discussions leveraging Zoom’s virtual breakout rooms. Participating young leaders will have the opportunity to connect with at least two career mentors. The Canadian Mentoring Partnership will provide all career mentors and young leaders participating a conversation guide to support career mentoring discussions along with a pre-event guide with tips to consider in advance. Here is an overview of the event agenda:

  • Welcome Remarks (10 mins)
  • Skill Building Activity (15 mins)
  • Round 1 – Career Mentoring (20 mins)
  • Debrief of Round 1 (5-10 mins)
  • Round 2 – Career Mentoring (20 mins)
  • Debrief and Resource Sharing (15 mins)
