The Canadian Mentoring Partnership teamed up with Starbucks to host a Power of Mentoring virtual event with youth ages 18+ on July 30 from 3:00-4:30pm EST.

The 1.5 hour virtual experience included both large group skill-building activities and two rounds of facilitated small group career mentoring discussions. Participating young leaders had the opportunity to connect with at least two career mentors.

The Canadian Mentoring Partnership provided all career mentors and young leaders participating a conversation guide to support career mentoring discussions along with a pre-event guide with tips to consider in advance.

Here is an overview of what the event agenda consisted of:

• Welcome Remarks (10 mins)
• Skill Building Activity (15 mins)
• Round 1 – Career Mentoring (25 mins)
• Transition to Round 2 (5 mins)
• Round 2 – Career Mentoring (25 mins)
• Debrief and Resource Sharing (10 mins)

Please note that we are only recruiting young leaders ages 16-25 for this event. All of our mentors are Starbucks partners.
